TT Club Management
The TT Club is controlled by a Board of Directors elected by and from the Membership. In its composition the Board reflects all categories of operator and every region of the world. The Board is responsible for deciding the type of risk to be underwritten, setting policy and strategic direction and making all financial and investment decisions.
The day-to-day business of the TT Club is delegated to an independent firm of professional Managers, Thomas Miller (Bermuda) Ltd, and its London agents, Through Transport Mutual Services (UK) Ltd (collectively known as the "Managers"). The Managers are responsible for implementing the policies outlined by the Board.
Through Transport Mutual Insurance Association Limited ("TT Bermuda") was established in 1968 as a mutual insurance association and is registered in Bermuda. In 1991 a subsidiary, Through Transport Mutual Insurance Association of Europe Limited was created in the United Kingdom primarily to take advantage of the single market for insurance in the European Union. The name was changed to Through Transport Mutual Insurance Association (EurAsia) Limited in January 1996 to reflect the expansion of operations in Asia, and subsequently to TT Club Mutual Insurance Limited (“TTI”) in July 2007 to reflect the global nature of the company’s operations.
TTI has underwriting branch offices regulated by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority and the Monetary Authority of Singapore to carry on business of non-life insurance and reinsurance of all kinds on a mutual basis, and is also authorised in several other jurisdictions worldwide. Subsequently, the Managers are represented in a variety of forms including, for example, Thomas Miller (South East Asia) Pte Ltd, Thomas Miller (Hong Kong) Ltd, and Through Transport Mutual Services (Americas).
Thomas Miller, in its capacity as the Manager of the TT Club, has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 Certification affirming a commitment to service. The TT Club is fully regulated by the authorities in all its locations, offering its customers a further assurance of quality and reliability.
