New Director for TT Club’s e-Commerce Initiatives

The Through Transport Club, the insurance mutual for ship operators, stevedores, port authorities, transport and logistics companies and freight forwarders worldwide, has named Louise Bradley to the new position of director of e-commerce strategy. Based in London, the appointment highlights the growing importance of the TT Club’s suite of Internet services, which include ClaimsTrac, eClaims and

Louise, a graduate in law from Queen’s University, Belfast, will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Club’s e-commerce presence. As well as identifying and evaluating new products and strategic alliances, she will be responsible for the management, development and delivery of existing services.

“Louise brings a rich and varied experience to this important new role,” commented Paul Neagle, TT Club’s CEO. “Her background in marketing, underwriting and business development, especially in the promotion and delivery of Internet products to a variety of transport and affiliated communities, makes her ideally suited to drive the Club’s e-commerce growth.”, TT’s Internet-based quotation service launched last year, has enjoyed a steady uptake worldwide among insurance brokers and their clients. It is aimed at small to medium sized transport operators seeking a more standardised type of insurance product – competitively priced yet still providing access to the Club’s global claims and advisory services ‘on call’. complements two further, established on-line services. ClaimsTrac is a powerful tool enabling Club members and other nominees to access and analyse their claims and risk management information in real time from the Club’s database, while eClaims gives members and their brokers the time-saving option of submitting claims electronically, so reducing information input duplication and error possibilities.

“The Internet will be an increasingly important driver in the Club’s success, broadening its product range and making it accessible to a wide range of operators and their intermediaries internationally,” Bradley stated. “The increasing availability and uptake of broadband Internet access will enable us to tailor increasingly sophisticated services to our members’ needs.”

Louise Bradley gained her Masters degree in International Business and Transport Law at City of London University. She worked for several years in the marketing department of NatWest International Bank, specialising in the German and Benelux corporate sectors. Since joining Thomas Miller & Co, the management company of the TT Club, Louise has maintained her European expertise, managing customer accounts in France, Germany and the Netherlands as well as in the UK and Ireland. For the last three years she has worked in the business development unit of Thomas Miller in London, Managers of the TT Club.
