TT Club, the leading mutual insurance provider for the transport industry, has appointed Chee Teng Joo as an underwriter in its Singapore office. Mr Chee, a Malaysian national, joins the Club from a background of broking and marine underwriting in the Malaysian market.
Andrew Kemp, TT Club’s underwriting director in Singapore, commented: “We are delighted that Teng Joo has joined our Singapore team. His experience in transport and logistics insurance will be an asset to the Club in expanding our regional presence.”
Mr Chee has moved to TT Club from Pan Global in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to that, he was at AIG in Kuala Lumpur, where he was responsible for marine underwriting and its associated administrative functions. In particular he concentrated on the heavy lift market for power plants and palm oil refineries, and was lead underwriter for the TNBJ and Perlis Power projects.
Prior to AIG, Chee Teng Joo also held management positions with Zurich and Bradstock Insurance.
