Leading transport insurance provider TT Club has extended its long-term cooperation with BIFA (the British International Freight Association) by sponsorship of its Supply Chain Management Award at the latest annual Freight Service Awards ceremony. This was TT Club’s sixteenth consecutive year of support for BIFA’s awards, which were presented at the Association’s annual lunch in the City of London. The 2004 Supply Chain Management Award was presented by TT Club chief executive Paul Neagle to RIF Worldwide Ltd, the Slough-based forwarding and logistics company. RIF Worldwide was described in the winner’s citation as proving to the judges that “it had met the challenging targets posed by their customer to resolve supply chain management weaknesses that threatened its viability. Through fostering collaboration between suppliers and distributors, RIF contributed to turning round their customer’s business by demonstrating cost and performance improvements that enabled their customer to restore its distributors’ confidence”. Commenting on TT Club’s support for BIFA and its awards, Mr Neagle said: “TT Club strives for excellence in its service levels and industry leadership in its scope of cover. We are glad to promote and recognise similar excellence and leadership by logistics and transport providers, and we congratulate RIF Worldwide on its success.” TT Club itself has also enjoyed a positive year in 2004, weathering the storms of the Atlantic hurricane season and achieving a strong round of renewals by its worldwide membership, with both a high retention rate and a significant rise in premium income.
