EeLain Ong

EeLain Ong joined the TT Club as CFO in April 2022, succeeding Julian Chowdhury who retired. A graduate of Hull University and a Chartered Accountant (FCA) by background, EeLain has almost 30 years of specialist experience in the re/insurance industry.

She has worked in leadership roles within finance, treasury and tax at re/insurance companies, captives, mutuals, start-ups and Lloyd’s syndicates across a multitude of global jurisdictions.

Her breadth of exposure includes structuring finite, legacy and traditional risk transfer deals - as well as stints as a regulator, auditor and corporate financier in mergers and acquisitions.

As CFO, she focusses on achieving business plan profit targets by attaining operational efficiencies through simplifying and automating processes along the re/insurance value chain.

On the volunteer front, EeLain was a board advisor for a residential property manager, continues to mentor Hull University business graduates, and remains a financial governance advisor to a Mayan land rights charity.
