TT Club appoints Kemp to Asia-Pac

4 August 2003

TT Club, a leading provider of insurance and risk management services to the international transport and logistics industry, has announced that senior underwriter Andrew Kemp is transferring from London to Singapore. From 1st August 2003 he takes up the new position of Regional Underwriting Manager for the Asia-Pacific region, while also retaining responsibility for the Club’s Indian Subcontinent business.

In this new role Mr Kemp takes charge of development and support of the regional underwriting team throughout the existing network of TT Club offices within the Asia Pacific Region. In addition he will play an important part in marketing the Club’s products and servicing both existing brokers and Members.

“My remit will be to reinforce underwriting, sales and marketing at a regional level,” said Mr Kemp. “I will be providing support to the regional headquarters in Hong Kong, but being based in Singapore I will also be able to assist local initiatives.”

Mr Colin Lewin, TT Club’s Chief Operating Officer, commented: “It’s a measure of the importance we attach to Asia-Pacific that TT Club has decided to boost its presence in this area. Andrew has many years’ experience in his profession and with the Club and we look forward to taking advantage of that as we grow the Club’s business portfolio in Singapore and Southeast Asia.”

Mr Kemp’s successor in London is Andrew Farrant, who brings both cargo and liability expertise to the European international underwriting team. He joins from insurer CNA, where he developed the marine liability product. Previously he enjoyed a sixteen-year career with Royal Insurance and Independent Insurance Company.
