About the Innovation in Safety Award: an imperative for our industry
Innovation in safety is not optional, it is essential.
Innovation is what moves our industry forward. It is what protects our people, assets, cargo and livelihoods. And ultimately, it is what will define the legacy we leave for the next generation of cargo handling, transport and logistics professionals.
The Innovation in Safety award was established, nearly a decade ago, to celebrate safety innovation in the global freight supply chain. It serves to recognise creative health and safety professionals throughout the cargo industry. Entrants are required to show that a product, idea, solution, process, scheme or other innovation has resulted in a demonstrable improvement to safety, and it is open to anyone involved in cargo handling - individuals, businesses, consultants and innovators.
These awards of course celebrate the winners, but they also celebrate the mindset that drives progress — the willingness to question established practices, explore new technologies and challenge what “good enough” really means.
The Innovation in Safety Awards showcase what is possible when curiosity meets courage, and when operational experience is combined with innovation.
The 2025 awards were presented at a ceremony in London on February 25 2026. See more here.
