For the fifteenth successive year TT Club has supported the BIFA freight service awards. For the 2003 awards, presented last month at the Association’s annual lunch in the City of London, TT Club sponsored the coveted logistics and distribution award.

Paul Neagle, TT Club chief executive (pictured left), joined the event host, BBC political correspondent John Pienaar (right), to congratulate winning service provider Eagle Global Logistics (UK) Ltd and its representative John Magee, and to present the trophy.

According to BIFA, Eagle Global Logistics impressed the judging panel by being able to deliver cost savings and a greatly improved service to its customers, integrating the activity of suppliers with orders from customers and efficiently managing order placement, billing, payments and shipping.

“Every year brings first class entries that demonstrate the skill and knowledge of BIFA’s members, and Eagle’s entry was judged to be the best of four excellent finalists,” commented Mr Neagle. “ TT Club is at the heart of the transport and logistics industry and, as its leading insurer is particularly keen to develop and recognise excellence and operational expertise among the industry’s practitioners.”

TT Club members benefit from expert risk management and loss prevention advice that, together with its reputation for first-class claims handling, remains a hallmark of the Club’s service. Currently the Club is concentrating on advice and guidance to members regarding compliance with the ISPS code, which takes the force of law globally from 1 July 2004.
