June 7, 2011 - In a joint initiative to improve safety at the world's ports, the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA), the TT Club and ICHCA International are to announce recommendations for minimum requirements for the operation of quay container cranes. Details of the recommendations will be provided at a workshop at TOC Europe 2011 on Thursday June 9.

Four regional finalists representing the future of the freight forwarding industry are preparing to travel to Bangkok, Thailand for the FIATA World Congress - 4th-8th October 2010. The four, from South Africa, Canada, Singapore and Germany, will each be hoping for selection as the overall Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year 2010 and a prize that includes hands-on training experience at one of TT Club's regional centres in London, Hong Kong or New Jersey.

The TT Club's latest publication, a revised edition of its comprehensive risk mitigation guide for windstorms, offers marine and inland terminal operators valuable information and advice on how to minimise storm damage to their installations and customers' cargoes. This second edition has been developed and published jointly with ICHCA International.
