The Shipping Golf Tournament in aid of Mercy Ships
On 19th September, Mark Argentieri and Andrew Gentile attended the event in aid of Mercy Ships. The Shipping Golf Tournament was held in the beautiful Golf Club Villa Carolina in Italy. TT Club was thrilled to support this unique event which is sponsored by major players in the international Maritime Community.
The SGT was launched in 1994 from an idea of two Genoese professionals and golf nuts Massimo Canepa and Francesco Siccardi joined by Trevor Minter from the UK, who set out to bring together people from the Maritime Community in a one-day golfing and social event with the sponsorship of Marine Insurance Companies, P&I Clubs, Insurance Brokers, Legal Firms and Shipowners.
TT Club sponsored this year’s event and were delighted to have Mercy Ships as the chosen charity. The event helped to raise funds for their incredible work providing free medical care to people in West Africa.
