Alvina started her insurance career in the UK in 2004 before moving to Sydney in 2012. She has had varied experience in claims, broking and underwriting within general and marine insurance, and settled into TT Club as an Underwriter after nearly a decade in the multinational corporate broking space.

Karim joined the TT Club in March 2022, as part of the claims team based in Sydney. He graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering degree. Prior to joining TT, Karim began his career in insurance in 2019 as a commercial property claims consultant at Insurance Australia Group.
Laurence Jones

Laurence’s role in the TT Club covers advice and support in underwriting decisions and claims assessment, he works proactively with clients and industry to identify areas where risks may be reduced. Laurence is based in Sydney and travels to TT Club global offices and client sites on a regular basis. He is a Director of Thomas Miller (Australasia) Pty Ltd.
Laurence is a qualified engineer with over 40 years extensive general management, engineering, maintenance, operations, industrial relations and logistics experience in manufacturing, mining and the global ports and terminals industry. He worked 26 years for BHP Billiton in the steel, open cut and underground mining industries, and terminal engineering design, construction and management. Laurence spent the last 15 years with BHP in bulk materials terminals. He then spent eight years in container terminals with P&O Ports and attained the role of General Manager Global Engineering and Asset Management before joining the TT Club in December 2006 as Director Global Risk Assessment.
Laurence is Deputy Chairman of ICHCA International (International Cargo Handling and Coordination Association), a member of the ICHCA International Safety Panel (ISP), Security Panel and Environment Committee, a Director of ICHCA Australia and an Advisor to the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA). He is also a member of the IAPH Safety, Security & Environment Committee.
